About Alerts

Once you have successfully moved your equipment into your preferred crew groups, it’s time to look at how to take full advantage of the technology behind InfoHub™ with Alerts.

Here are few things to keep in mind regarding alerts:

  • Alerts can be configured at the crew level and/or equipment level.
  • Alerts are meant for YOU to monitor crews and equipment. Customer Notifications are configured a little bit different. Learn about customer workflow notifications.
  • InfoHub allows you to set up alerts and send them to your email or mobile phone via SMS text message. It’s also possible to limit the visibility of alerts on the map for less distraction. You can customize your preferences when you set up an alert.
  • Configured alerts are denoted by an asterisk (*) next to the alert type in the trigger list in Setup Alerts. Learn more in Creating Equipment & Crew Alerts.

One Time vs Repeating Alerts

Alerts are monitored each time the equipment's telematic device sends an update and this frequency can be as often as 15 seconds.  Depending on the alert type, you may only need a single notification. You can adjust the notification frequency of alerts by selecting Ignore Duplicate Alerts Within Minutes from the Setup Alerts options.
